Beverly Fine has been a National Quilting Association Certified Judge since 2003, became qualified to judge master quilts by 2006 and is currently the Certified Judges Coordinator for the NQA.  She began quilting while in high school, but became a dedicated quilter in 1996.  She is active in three quilt guilds and has volunteered as an assistant curator at the New England Quilt Museum.  Most recently she served as President of the Quilters’ Connection in Watertown, MA, and continues to serve on their Board of Directors.  She founded and produced the five annual quilt shows to benefit the Thayer (Lancaster) Memorial Library from 2000-2004.  Beverly is a co-author of the new book Guide to Judged Quilt Shows, available through www.nqaquilts.org.

Beverly gives talks on the judging process as well as several other quilt-related topics.  Her enthusiastic style is contagious and her mission is to gently guide and encourage quilters to show their quilts at the local, regional and national levels. She takes quilt scholarship very seriously, and is passionate about making quilts!  She currently focuses her own work on monoprinting, using an etching press and/or fabric marbling, as well as hand-dyeing and shibori. Beverly appreciates, and works, in both traditional and non-traditional styles.

Beverly divides her time between Lancaster, MA and Delray Beach, FL.
