Sue Nickels

Sue began quilting over 22 years ago, starting out hand quilting and gradually focusing on machine work. She has been teaching machine quilting and appliqué classes for the past 12 years.  She teaches regularly at local quilt shops, and has taught and lectured nationally at both the American Quilter's Society and National Quilting Association shows, and for many guilds around the country.  Sue has co-written two books with her sister, Pat Holly, on machine quilting patterns. They also worked as contributing editors for Ladies Circle Patchwork Quilts Magazine. Vikki Pignatelli

Vikki is the author of Quilting Curves (Quilt Digest Press, 2001). She teaches nationally and internationally and has patterns for sale..  A painter and sculptor, with more than 30 years experience in several art forms, Vikki became a quilter in 1991 and quickly turned her passion for intense colors and flowing design into national award winning quilts.  A full-time quilt artist, author, teacher and lecturer, she has developed a layering technique for piecing curves. She and her quilts have been featured in national publications and the 1998 American Quilter's Society Art Engagement Calendar. She has won eighteen awards from national and international quilt shows including a first place award for Portrait of my Soul in Art Large at the International Quilt Festival at Houston, and Best Color and Design in the 2002 NQA annual show.  She, too, is currently working on a soon to be released new book.  Visit her website at www.vikkipignatelli.com
